Plastina presents for Iowa Learning Farms

Dr. Alejandro Plastina, director of the Rural and Farm Finance Policy Analysis Center, was the featured presenter in the Iowa Learning Farms conservation webinar series from Iowa State University on July 2, 2025. The webinar, titled “Adoption and Disadoption of Soil and Water Management Practices in the U.S.,” reviewed recent trends in cover crop and no-till adoption and discussed the economic drivers affecting them. Plastina concluded that sustained economic incentives are as essential as technical assistance to maintain and expand cover crop and no-till area. View the slides or watch the presentation.
